Turbidity fencing is designed to restrict the flow of silt-laden runoff, to keep it contained in a limited area, and to allow the sediment to settle out before being carried
This fencing is made up of a top flotation device, a fabric curtain extending underneath the water, and a galvanized steel chain running along the bottom of the curtain. This creates a weight to keep the turbidity curtain vertical in the water, with end hems sealed around a rope and grommeted to allow for connection to additional fencing.
