Liner Pipe Systems: A-2 PVC Pipe

A-2 Liner pipe has a double wall, incorporating a smooth interior with a corrugated exterior. It possesses high stiffness that maintains shape control when installed. Slip lining with A-2 maintains flow characteristics within a smaller diameter. Proven trenchless installation methods to slipline existing pipe eliminate the disruptions associated with open trenching, while increasing productivity and reducing costs.

The increasing rate of sanitary and storm sewer deterioration requires an efficient and cost-effective drainage pipe solution. CONTECH A2™ Liner drainage Pipe uses proven trenchless installation methods to slipline existing sewer lines without the disruptions associated with open trenching, while also increasing productivity and lowering costs. A2 Liner provides a tremendous cost savings over cured-in-place pipe-up to 50% depending on the installation.

A2 Drainage Pipe :

  • Restores hydraulic capacity with a Manning’s “n” of .009
  • Glossy-smooth interior allows relined pipe to carry as much or more flow than the existing host pipe, even with diameter reductions
  • Available in 12″-36″ diameters, lengths of 10’ and 20’, and custom lengths as short as 2.5’
  • Workers can slipline in excess of 200 feet per hour
  • Light weight means smaller, less expensive equipment for handling and joining
  • Patented, gasketed STAB-JOINT® meets test requirements of ASTM D3212
  • Joints designed to remain watertight up to five degrees angularity
  • Joints ensure a positive connection even when sliplining misaligned, obstructed, or curvilinear sewers
  • Manufactured exclusively from low fill, cell class 12454 PVC compound-the most widely accepted sewer pipe material
  • Excellent durability and resistance to abrasion
  • Withstands acidic and alkaline soils and chemicals found in normal sewage
  • Gasketed coupling allows sliplining without diverting existing flow
